A proven innovation for enhancing the flexibility and usefulness of business continuity plans is the Mobile Recovery Lab (MRL). DRS MRLs are fully enclosed, all weather computing facilities, used to transport recovery systems to a user so that recovery operations can resume on a local basis.
An exciting element of utilizing a DRS Mobile Recovery Lab (MRL) on-site is that employees would not be required to travel, increasing their participation in recovery operations. DRS MRLs can be parked adjacent to a nearby site and used to quickly facilitate a continuation of customer service and support activities. When combined with hot-site recovery strategies, mobile on-site recovery capabilities provide management teams powerful and robust disaster response strategies - capable of handling a full range of situations. Highlights include:
- Mobile data centers with pre-loaded HW & SW
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with 35KVA electrical generator back-up
- Network expandability
- Multiple telephone/fax port connections
- Sound-proofing insulation and ceiling tiles
- High-output heating & air conditioning system
- Multi-station work space with fluorescent lighting
- Lighted walk-up access doors (4'x 8') for remote access or dock high walkway access (8'x 8') for direct attachment to building facilities
- Custom configurable to user computing specification
